John “J.E.” Ewell Moore, Jr.

A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to his eternal home on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was 86 years old, and was born December 11, 1933 in Watson, LA. John Proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years during the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Live Oak united Methodist Church, and a member of the VFW Zachary Taylor Post 3784. John enjoyed dancing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter, Tammy Doyal and husband Darrel, Calinda Jean Brou and husband Shorty; son, John Ewell Moore III and wife Daydra; step daughter, Terrie Champagne and husband Larry; former wife, Evelyn Elkins and numerous, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 8:30am until Celebration of Life Service at 10am, conducted by Rev. Dickie Davis. Burial will follow in Live Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Jacob, Tyler, Dakota, Jace, Patrick and Landon. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ewell Moore Sr. and Johnnie Adams Moore; two daughters, Barbara Ann Moore, Johnnie Moore Scott and two wives, Marvell Wesley and Marie Moore.
