Julia Faye McCormick

12/12/1945 ~ 1019/2020

Julia Faye McCormick, 74, affectionately known as Judy, passed away October 19, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Thomas and Pauline McCormick, December 12, 1945, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Judy spent her childhood in Central, Louisiana and graduated from Central High School in 1963. She lived in Baton Rouge for many years but called Denham Springs her final home. Judy treasured her family above all, embracing every moment spent with them. Of the many hats she wore, being a grandmother was definitely her favorite. A woman full of smiles, laughter, a bit of wisdom and a ton of sparkle truly blessed all those in her company. Judy enjoyed cooking for those she loved. It would hardly be a proper gathering without a bowl of banana pudding or a batch of the best fudge ever. She loved to dance and to listen to Elvis. The song “My Way” performed by Elvis could truly be the anthem of her life. She will be forever missed. It’s no secret she had a fondness for ladybugs, perhaps the next time one flies by, take a moment and think of her. She is survived by her two siblings Ronnie Denham and Sue Bonacorso Duhe, her five children; Tommy, Christine, Ronald “Timmy”, Angela, and David. She has eight grandchildren; Morgan, Bella, Chelsy, Elizabeth, Ronald, Wesley, Libby, and Holly. She has two great grandchildren; Sebastian and Liam. A gathering will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 4pm until Celebration of Life Service at 6pm.
