Berta Hood Smith

Berta Hood Smith, 73, danced her way into Heaven on December 13, 2020. She was a retired Deputy Sheriff from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. Berta enjoyed fishing, dancing, and her family. She is survived by two sons; David Smith (TN) and Tommy Smith (AR), twin daughters; Carolyn Venable (Steve), and Marilyn McCulley (Marc), four grandchildren; Steven Venable, Victoria, Blake, and Abbey McCulley, and two great grandchildren; Aiden Riley and Piper McCulley, five Siblings; Margaret Lee, Edward Duvall, Ricky Hood, Tracey Collier, Polly Cupit. Preceded in death by her parents; mother, Belle Hood, Father, Lester Hood, and Stepmother, Mabel Hood, Sister; Claudia Hood. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 15th from 4:00 pm until services begin at 7:00 pm. Services will be officiated by her nephew, Rocky Everett. Her children would like to extend their appreciation to her dearest friends, Barbara Childres and Kathy Day, for their continued love and support throughout her journey.
