Barbara Sherrard

March 10 1941 ~ December 22, 2020

Barbara Griffin (Jones) Sherrard died on December 22, 2020 at Baton Rouge. She was a Baton Rouge native and a graduate of Pine Grove High School. She held positions at LSU and Jay Crow Real Estate. In 1984 she relocated to Pennsylvania where she worked as a mortgage loan officer for 17 years until retiring. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; her parents, Frank Griffin and Elma Sibley Griffin; and a brother, Bill Griffin.

She is survived by her children: Steven Jones of Tampa, FL; Jeffrey Jones (wife Dawn) of Philadelphia, PA and Lori Jones of Pine Grove, as well as a brother, Robert Rodney Griffin (wife Carolyn Sue) of Watson and sister-in-law Brenda Griffin of Bayou Sorrell. She is also survived by her aunt, Mary Smith of Denham Springs and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her children would like to thank the staffs of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge Clinic, Pinnacle Home Health, St. Joseph Hospice and Carpenter House for the compassionate care provided to Barbara in her last weeks. Please sign the online guestbook at
