Delores June Lavigne Buchanan, 77, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans. Delores worked for many years in the Service Industry and Entertainment Industry through theaters and many other venues. She was a very proud “Military Wife” traveling the world, and she made many friends anywhere she would go. She enjoyed music, dancing, gardening and movies. But her passion was her grandchildren and family. Delores was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Wednesday, December 23, from 12 p.m. until service at 2 p.m., officiated by Dr. Leo Miller. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Harold W. “Shorty” Buchanan Jr., Barry J. and Penny T. Buchanan, and Jason D and Jathryn Buchanan; daughters-in-law, Michelle K Johnson and Jennifer J Walch; grandchildren, Brandt Anthony Buchanan, Blake Michael Buchanan, Joseph Anthony Buchanan, Lauren Elizabeth Buchanan, Austin Derek Buchanan and wife, Ashley, Justin Myles Buchanan and wife, Ainsley, and Jacob Brock Buchanan; great-grandchildren, Lucille Zoey Buchanan, Eleanor Dakota Buchanan, and Beau Myles Buchanan; sister, Joyce Adams; sisters-in-law, Tinita Blount, Debbie Stilley, Monica Powell, Viola Powell, and Carrie Anthony; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Buchanan Sr.; father, Sidney Joseph Lavigne, mother and step-father, Beatrice and Adrian Beckham; daughter, Lisa Juanita Buchanan; sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Carter McMorris; brother-in-law, Lincoln Buchanan, Arnold Sykes, and Bobby Adams.
