Erline Stewart Allen

Erline Marie Stewart Allen who was born in 1930, in Kentwood, LA, to Drewery Stewart and Etta Wilson Stewart, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 22, 2020. She worked for LA DOTD as a buyer, became a Pastor’s wife of the late Reverend William “Bill” Allen, and loved teaching her grandchildren how to play piano, playing piano for churches across the southeast, sewing, cooking, gardening and flowers, and missions. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Allen, son Ronald Stewart Allen and wife Karen Dourrieu Allen, sister Othel Williams, three grandchildren, Christie Staten, Wendy Allen, and Rebecca Norlin, seven great grandchildren Kyle Perron, Autumn Blache, Jessica Perron , William “Zack” Cleveland, Landen Smith, Skylar Norlin, and Stacey Norlin and four great-great grandchildren Julian Perron, Keegan Felder, Sebastian Perron, and Aria Ware. She was preceded in death by brothers, L.D. Stewart, H.B. Stewart, and Eldridge Stewart and sisters, Lillian Raburn and Blanche Wheat. A private ceremony for immediate family was held on Monday December 28, 2020 with Bro. Alan Bartlett performing the service, and burial followed at Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood, LA
