Betty Jo Carter went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the age of 81. She was a native of McComb, MS and a resident of Denham Springs, LA. She is survived by two daughters and sons- in law, Debbie and David Daigle and Tootie and James Vicknair, son, Randy Carter, and daughter in law Terri Carter, nine grandchildren, Chuck, Glen, Amy, Travis, Cady, Blake, Jennifer, Patrick, and Johnathan, seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron, Hunter, Alyssa, Dean, Ava, and Addylin, and one on the way, Sadie, brother, Jimmy Dykes and sister, Eloise and Kenneth Brister, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hance and Leila Mae Dykes, son, Jerry Carter, grandson, Chad Vicknair, sisters, Dora Mae Hines and Ruby Causin, and brother, Edward Dykes. She was a caregiver and spent many years caring for others, she is loved and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made Home of Grace, Post Office Box 5009, Vancleaves, MS 39565.

Betty Jo was one of the sweetest persons that I have ever known and my prayers are with her lovely family. She earned her place in Heaven through her love for God, family and friends and her kindness that always glowed on her sweet face will never be forgotten.

Graveside services at Beechridge Cemetery in Denham Springs will be Tuesday January 5th at 10 am .

BETTY JO AN MY FRIENDSHIP GOES BACK OVER 37 YEARS.SHE WAS EVERY BIT OF WHAT A TRUE FRIEND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE.REST IN PEACE YOU SWEET ANGELBECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT GOD GOT WHEN HE CALLED YOU HOME TO BE WITH HIM.I LOVED YOU BETTY JO AND YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL EHO LOVED YOU.
