June 29, 2001 ~ January 10, 2021
Rachel Karen Pritchard, age 19, passed away early in the morning on Sunday, January 10, 2021. Despite all the love that surrounded her, Rachel was ready for the everlasting peace and joy that God promises.
She was born on June 29, 2001, in Baton Rouge, LA, to parents Steve and Cindy Pritchard, and lived in Watson, LA, where she attended Live Oak schools and graduated in 2019. Rachel was a future nursing student at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.
Rachel loved her family and friends, her fur baby Duke, and to take care of people. She is survived by her parents, Steve and Cindy Pritchard; twin sister, Cassie Pritchard; brother, Vance, and his wife, Anna, and their children, Grace and Jack Pritchard; and brother, Ducote Jennings. She is also survived by grandparents, Steve and Shasta Pritchard; grandparents, Don and Carolyn Marshall; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rachel’s family would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support during this time and invites everyone to join in celebrating Rachel’s life on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Live Oak United Methodist Church in Watson. Visitation for family begins at 9:00 am and friends are welcome to join at 9:30 am until 12:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm and be led by Pastor Mark Crosby. In lieu of flowers, Rachel’s family asks that donations be made in Rachel’s name to local suicide prevention programs (linked below). The family is also encouraging anyone who needs it to attend counseling services for free at LOUMC.
