Thomas Carlton Link

Thomas Carlton Link (Tommy) was born May 17, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 89. He was raised in Baker, Louisiana and was a resident of Denham Springs. He worked in the chemical industry for UniRoyal and U.S. Steel. His second career was director for Operations for Lang’s Standard Solutions. After his second retirement, he spent many hours working in his shop. He also cultivated satsumas, blueberries and oranges with his wife of 50 years, Shirley Zumo Link – to the delight of his children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
He graduated from Baker High School, attended . and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of the Baker Jaycees and served in several offices, including President. He was an avid sports fan interested in golf, Rouge. Condolences and remarks can be posted to Seale Funeral Home , basketball and harboring a deep love for the LSU tigers in all sports, but especially football.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Link; a daughter, Margaret Link; and his sons, Randall ( Bridgette), Dean and Lane Link as well as a Son-in-Law, Dan Smith. He leaves six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren – who along with the rest of his family – will miss his love , his sense of humor and his opinions which were freely given. He was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Link and mother, Ella McElroy and his beloved step-mother, Elizabeth Link, a daughter, Katherine Link Smith and siblings, Ann Link Suir, William E, Link, Gene Link, Garland Link Cutrer and Merry K. link, Harlan Benoit.
Sincere thanks go to Clarity Hospice staff for allowing Tommy to spend his last hours in comfort and without pain. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m., Tuesday until services at 10:00 a.m. at Seal Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Following services, burial will be in the Green Oaks Memorial Park in Baton
