Wilton Victor Bourque Jr., 66 years old, of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away peacefully and went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. He was born in New Orleans, La. on September 20, 1954. Wilton will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Wilton was predeceased by his Father and Mother; Wilton Victor Bourque, Sr of Gonzales and Geraldine Josephine Tricon of Houma, his brother Earl Bourque of Gonzales and stepdaughter Christine Andrews of Denham Springs.
Wilton was a devoted, loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Kim Cahill Bourque, his two sons; Chad Bourque and Lance Bourque, his three stepdaughters; Michelle Andrews Stewart, Leanne Andrews Gayle and Rebecca Andrews. He had eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. His surviving brothers are Floyd Bourque of Gonzales, La., Bobby Bourque of Alexandria, La. and Alan Bourque of Prairieville, La.
Wilton grew up and attended school in Gonzales, La. He attended three years at East Ascension High School and then graduated from Bonnabel High school in Metarie, La., in 1973. He then completed the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Program through Local Union # 8116 in New Orleans. He worked as a Journeyman Ironworker and then as a law enforcement officer in St. Charles Parish and Kenner, La. He later worked for Chef Paul Prudhomme as a personal assistant/security person.
Due to COVID-19, a private memorial service will be held for close friends and family members at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, La. on Friday, February 5th. at 10 am.
The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice in Baton Rouge, La. for the genuine concern, love and care extended to Wilton and our family in his last days. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer Association act.alz.org/donate
