Robert Eldon Dale, Sr.

January 31, 1927 ~ February 6, 2021

Robert Eldon Dale, Sr., 94, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at his home in Central, LA.  He was born January 31, 1927, in Pineville, LA to John U. and Laura Mae Howard Dale. Robert was raised at Rock Hill, LA and Pineville, LA.  He attended Bolton High School and Louisiana College, and then worked in the lumber business in Castor, LA and Alexandria, LA.  Later Robert moved to Hammond LA where he managed Wickes Builders Supply, before becoming a home building contractor. Robert was a WWII Army veteran, an avid golfer, a Sapphire Life Master bridge player and a world traveler, often teaching bridge lessons with his wife on cruise ships. He is survived by his four children, Robert Dale, Jr. and wife Karen of Mesquite, NV, Laura Hall and husband Bobby of Central, LA, John Dale and wife Marilyn of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Lydia Clement of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren, Brittany Dale Lambie, Patrick, Jeremy and Aaron Eisler, Alexander Dale and Aileen Dale Gresham; sister, Dorothy Harwell of Baton Rouge, LA and 16 great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 63 years, Mary Jane Peninger Dale, sister, Marcella Mangiaracina, grandson Austin Dale and great grandson, Jeremy Christopher Eisler. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021, at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt.
