Robert William Molcany

May 3, 1947 ~ March 3, 2021

Robert (Bob) William Molcany, a native of Shreveport, La and resident of Denham Springs, La born May 3, 1947 and passed away on March 3, 2021 at the age of 73.

Beloved husband, father, papaw, and brother and devout Christian. He was a graduate of Fairpark High School in Shreveport and a graduate of Northeast Louisiana State College in Monroe. Upon graduation he worked as a journalist for the Shreveport Times, a copy editor for The Morning Advocate and retired from McGraw Hill’s Louisiana Contractor Magazine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Peggy Stevens Molcany, daughter, Angela (Angie) Molcany Alleman, son, Brad Molcany and wife Randi, grandchildren, Taylor and Baleigh Alleman and Brayden Molcany, sister, Betty Molcany Barber and husband RD.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Robert A. Molcany and Jewell Taylor.

Bob loved the Pittsburg Steelers and Pittsburg Pirates, WD-40, and his motto was “Duck Tape” fixes everything!” He was always an optimistic person.

Visitation will be held at Live Oak United Methodist Church in Watson, La. on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and service will be at 1:30 p.m. burial to be held at the LOUMC cemetery. Bob would love for family and friends to wear bright colors in celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude or LOUMC in his memory.
