Winnifred “Winnie” Sharon Gagliostro Perkins, 73, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at her home in Denham Springs, while surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Denham Springs and devoted her life to caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She retired from the Livingston Parish School Board where she was dedicated to caring for special needs children as a transportation aid. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William “Bill” E. Perkins, her son, Kennieth Ray Perkins and wife, Kristina and her daughter, Sharon Lynn Perkins as well as four grandsons she dearly loved, Kennieth Wayne Perkins, Richard Rapoza, Hunter Gene Craig and Dylan Keith Craig and one brother, Charlie Gagliostro; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Dean Perkins. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Francis and Mildred Shelton Gagliostro, her in-laws, Wesley and Lucille Street Perkins, Sisters in law, Donna Gagliostro, Dottie Mae Perkins Ross and Sadie Louise Perkins and her niece, Veva McLin Lockhart. Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she and her husband were married, Wednesday, March 17, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will resume Thursday, March 18 from 9 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Beechridge Cemetery, Denham Springs. Pallbearers will be Kennieth Perkins, Richard Rapoza, Hunter Craig, Dylan Craig, Dallas “Buster” Shelton, William Fletcher V, Cody Fletcher and Curtis Mitchener. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Cavalier and William Fletcher IV. The family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to Bridgeway Hospice.
