Hazel Allen Newell, 90, of Watson, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Hazel Allen Newell is survived by her children, Rita Nichols (Dave), Leigh N. Mansur and Henry Robert Newell Jr. (Lisa). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Julie Rogers (John); Jordan R. Nichols (Catherine); Brooke Clark (John); Ashleigh Martin (Johnathan); John Ryan Mansur; Natalie Cady Newell; and Henry Kimble Newell. She also leaves six great grandchildren: John P. Rogers; Trevor H. Rogers; Madeleine L. Nichols; Jordan T. Mansur (Megan); Ethan I. Clark; Mariah L. Martin; and Mallory L. Martin. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Henry Robert Newell Sr. and her parents, William Earl and Juanita Jones Allen of Watson, LA. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Gene Allen, Wallace Allen, Ben Lee Allen, W.B. Allen and one sister, Rita Belle Allen. She was a graduate of Live Oak High School and Spencer-Draughn Business College. Hazel loved traveling with her husband, Henry, and family. In 1970, she and her family moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida, where they resided for a decade. Her love for her family was evident in her smiles and laughter. As a long-time member of Amite Baptist Church, she shared her love of the Lord with many friends. Visitation will be Saturday morning, April 3rd from 8 to 10 a.m. at Seale Funeral home in Denham Springs followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be Amite Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
