Mr. Bobby G. Hutto, 85 of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was born in Waynesboro on January 24, 1936 to W. E. “Shorty” Hutto and Delilah Hutto. He graduated in 1958 from Mississippi State University with a BS degree in Forest Resources. He worked as a Forester, Timberland Supervisor, Area Superintendent, and Manager of Fiber Supply. He worked as Fiber Coordinator and retired as Area Manager and Liaison Coordinator to the Natchez, Mississippi Pulp Mill. Tours of duties included Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.
Mr. Hutto was a former member of Lions Club International and Kiwanian Man of the Year for Bay Minette, Alabama Kiwanis Club. He completed military obligations in the Army Reserve and the Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of the Society of American Foresters and the Mississippi Forestry Association. He retired from International Paper Company after 40 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clara.
Mr. Hutto is preceded in death by his parents, W. E. “Shorty” and Delilah Hutto, and his sister, Wilma Lee Bunch. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary “Helen” Cochran Hutto, Clara, MS; two sons, Stanley Joe Hutto (Ginger), Hugh T. Hutto (Kelly); daughter, Donna Hutto Edwards (John Bel); seven grandchildren, Joseph “Joe” Hutto (Ashley), Kathryn “Katie” Hutto McElveen (Malcolm), Jarred Hutto (Alyssa), Ryan Hutto (Hillary), Samantha Edwards Ricau (Jonathan), Sarah Ellen Edwards, John Miller Edwards; 11 great grandchildren, Emmalyne Hutto, Amelia Hutto, Joseph Wayne Hutto, Delilah Hutto, Ella Claire McElveen, Elijah McElveen, John Levi McElveen, Brockson Hutto, Sutter Hutto, Rhone Hutto, and Avonlea Hutto.
Mr. Hutto leaves behind a legacy of love for God and love of family that lives on forever.
Visitation for Mr. Hutto will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jesse Long, III officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery.
