JUly 14, 1954 – June 7, 2021
Linda Marie Jones, a loving mother and grandmother passed away on June 7, 2021 at
the age of 66. Linda was a native of Innis, LA and resident of Denham Springs, LA. She
attended LSU and retired from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office. Visitation will be
held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Friday from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
Father Dan Krutz will conduct funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 3:00pm.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Riley William Jones and Ela Gaspard Jones; four
sisters Gloria Jones Howard, Ruby Jones Short, Sylvia Jones Moffat and Winnie Pace; and
a brother, Riley William “R.W.” Jones, Jr. She is survived by her son Kris Shirley and one
granddaughter, Elliana Marie Shirley. She is also survived by two sisters,
Hattie Jones Bixby and Cheryl Jones; four brothers, Roger Jones, Russell Jones,
Ronald Jones and Robert Jones and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She enjoyed
watching LSU and N.O. Saints Football, spending time with friends and family especially

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Linda. My prayers are with you Kris & your babygirl. Oh what a great reunion they’re having in heaven right now. If it’s anything like our family reunions we used to have y’all know they’re having a blast right now.

My prayers go out to all the family , Linda was a class mate at Innis when we were growing up and I recall that she had a wonderful personality ,a great basket ball player and she liked to laugh. May God give comfort to all of her family.
