Skylar Leigh Hall

November 20, 2002 ~ June 15, 2021

Skylar Leigh Hall, born November 20, 2002, went to Heaven on June 15, 2021 after her fearless battle with multiple health conditions.  Skylar leaves behind her mother Lori Blount, stepfather Johnny Blount, sisters Hayleigh, Kayla and Stephanie who will greatly miss her.  Grandparents Pops (Charles Hall), Gary and Josie Blount, Aunt Nattley Morien, Uncle Josh Smith ( Brittany). And numerous other family members. She is proceeded in death by Grandmother Honey (Karen Hall), Great- Grandmother Angy (Mary Jackson).

Despite Skylar’s many years in the hospital she always courageously dealt with everything with a bright smile on her face.  Skylar affectionately gave a thumbs up to the amazing medical teams over the years, as they worked so tirelessly to heal her. Sky had an infectious laugh and very loving compassion. Her love for babies was known to everyone, especially baby Issac. She loved attending church and worshiping God with her family. Sky blessed so many lives and hearts over her short life. Sky enjoyed taking rides, traveling, and spending precious time with family and friends.

The bonds forged over the years has forever made an impact. Our family wants to extend our greatest appreciation and love to everyone that dedicated themselves to our family through the many long days and nights.  Special thanks goes out to Dr. Murli Rao, Dr. Alberty, Dr. Michael Bolten, Dr. Uzodi, Dr. Kenneth Paris, Dr. Stephen Deputy, Dr. Aljomah, Dr, Andres Carrion, Nurse Marianne, Nurse Brandon, Nurse Clarissa, Staff at Southeast Pediatrics, The PICU staff and surgery floor at Children’s OLOL, and our phenomenal Children’s Hospitalists along with the  PA’s and the residents that were part of Sky’s team, Nurses at Pediatric Health Choice center.

A special thanks to the support of Hospice of Baton Rouge. We could not have asked for a more compassionate and caring team than the one we had to help us  through the most difficult time imagined. Nurse Charlie Potts will forever be our angel who went above and beyond expectations. Roxie and her competitor Denise brought laughter in our home. Cabrina treated our Sky as her own. You all will forever be part of our family.
