February 6, 1952 ~ June 25, 2021
Billie Lee (Davis) Gelpi, born February 6, 1952, passed away on June 25, 2021 just after midnight as a full moon lit the night sky at her home in Watson, Louisiana surrounded by her little family. Though she promised to watch over us until that time when we meet again, we will miss her more dearly than words have power to convey. Billie was born in McComb, Mississippi and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduating from Broadmoor High School in 1970. She moved to Watson in 1979 where she and her husband, son, and some pretty good dogs spent many wonderful years. Billie is survived by her husband of 49 years, Carey George Gelpi Sr.; son, Dr. Carey George Gelpi Jr.; sister Shirley Fisher (Tommy); Brothers, George and Dan Davis; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Henry “Bill” Lee Wallace Davis and Jo Shirley (Vick) Davis and sister Mary.

Carey I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many great memories of Mrs Billie. We swam every summer as kids while she watched over us & making us the best lunches. She was a great mother and was such a beauty inside and out.
I pray that you cherish all your good memories and know that she is pain free. Much love and prayers for both of you as you navigate this loss to your heart and soul.
