Dudley Charlie Arledge passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his residence in Walker at the age of 81. Born December 27, 1939, he married Wendelyn Padriga in 1990. They had two children, Travis and Karen. Dudley attended Loyola University in New Orleans after being discharged from the army and graduated in 1971 with a degree in criminal justice. He was a proud New Orleans police officer before eventually transitioning to the role of probation and parole officer in Livingston Parish. He was a devoted family man who loved reading, being outdoors, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Lizzie Arledge. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, and their two children: Travis and Karen; his sister Helen Harris and husband, Richard; his sister Velma Jones; and his sister Mertis Edwards and husband, Bill. Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, June 30th from 10 AM until 12 PM, followed by the service at 12 PM. Burial will follow at the Walker Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to thank all family and friends for their assistance and support in Dudley’s care.
