Frankie Wayne “Hambone” Truax

December 23, 1945 – June 28, 2021

 

Frankie Wayne “Hambone” Truax passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Baton Rouge General, Bluebonnet at the age of 75. He was a retired truck driver and was a resident of Walker. Visitation will be held at Community Chapel Church in Walker Monday, July 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM until religious services at 2:00 PM conducted by Pastor Greg Thompson. Burial will follow at Truax Family Cemetery in Walker. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Truax; son, Jason Truax; sister Marie Aydell and husband William; brothers, George Truax, Sr. and wife Wanda and Buddy Truax; grandchildren, Triston Fontenot and Kayla Truax Wood and husband Ethan; great-grandchild, Colton Wood; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Annie Sibley Truax; sisters, Bernice Lott and Hazel Avants. Pallbearers will be Triston Fontenot, Stacy Yawn, George Truax, Jr., Kenny Housley, Seth Dillon, Jamie Housley, Michael Cobb and JR Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Avants, Sr., Curtis Lamonica, Henry Lamonica and Rusty Housley. He was a member of Community Chapel Church in Walker. Hambone lived life his way.
