Calinda Jean “Jeannie” Pettit Brou
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Jeannie was called to her eternal home at the age of 63 on July 4, 2021. She loved her family, plants, windchimes, birds, and riding motorcycles with her husband Shorty. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Ronald “Shorty” Brou, Jr., her three sons Michael Roberson and wife Heather, Jason Roberson and fiancée Marsha Cook, and Richard Paul Brou and wife Erica, seven grandchildren Alan Roberson, Katelynn Roberson, Triston Roberson, Kaylie Roberson, Mason Roberson, Cailyn Brou, and Brayden Brou, one great-grandson Bentley Roberson, a brother Gary Pettit and wife Jane, step-mother Arsie Pettit, step-brothers David Valeros and wife Veronica and Eddie Valeros, sister-in-law Sybil Humphries and husband Robin and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Marvell Pettit, her father-in-law Ronald Brou, Sr. and her brother-in-law Johnnie Avants.
Visitation will be held at Plainview Baptist Church, Walker South Road, Friday July 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume Saturday, July 10 from 10 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Please share your condolences at www.sealefuneral.com.

To the family of Jeannie’s,
I am sending you my thoughtfulness, prayers, sympathies, and condolences to be comforted around by God’s holy hands and arms. I know you will look down to ur new grandchild coming out next month or so and even looking down to Shorty and your sons and their families as well.
I know you reunite with ur beloved parents, and others even my sweet baby brother Bruiser I sure miss him so much as I do miss you. I will never forget u that I taught u how to fingerspelling ABC’s when we moved to Fletcher Lane and there was u living and learned how to fingerspelling. I thanked you for being there to fingerspelling for me. Will see u one day when it is my turn. U are sorely miss by many families, many Harleys’ group of yours and Shorty’s, many friends from old school, relatives, distant families like me and my family, and others as well.
Miss you for not seeing you at Gary’s house.

Thinking of you with your free spirit and your loving kind attributes. May you soar on those beautiful wings…. With that crown upon your head..never grounded by two wheels again. You will be missed by many….we will meet again…so for now I will say so long.. and look forward to seeing you once again.
