Edith Lucille Hite Oubre

Edith Lucille Hite Oubre, 75, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021. Edith loved to write poetry, paint, and play board games. But her true joy came in cooking for her family and being around her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Daniel and Angelle Oubre, Kelly Courtney, and Rita and Derek Jones; grandchildren, Amanda Rodrigue, Taylor Jones, Chase Jones, Hailey Courtney, Kasey Courtney, Christopher Cann, and Michael Cann; great-grandchildren, Remington and Raeleigh Rodrigue, and Vayda Watkins; siblings, Kenneth Dave Hite, Daniel Hite, and Ladonna “Belle” Pedarza; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley “Coon” Oubre; parents, Charles and Kathryn Hite. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Thursday, July 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will resume Friday, July 16, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
