“I have fought the good fight …. I have finished the race!”

Jared Wayne Lennox left this world and entered the gates of heaven into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on July 9, 2021. He was a native and resident of Watson, LA. He was preceded in death and welcomed by his grandparents, Charles Wayne and Mary Louise Allen, and Carolyn Dauskart Lennox; his uncle, Richard Wayne Allen, and his great-grandparents. Jared is survived by his parents, Cynthia Allen Lennox, Steven Michael Lennox and Sharon Kirkland Lennox. His paternal grandparents, Jeffrey William Lennox and Lee Shullaw Lennox. His brothers, Jacob William Lennox, Jordan Wade Lennox and wife Amanda Hankins Lennox, Trey James Laborde and wife Lucy Laborde, Cody Matthew Laborde and Tanner Joseph Laborde. His precious niece, Brayleigh Marie Lennox, and nephews, Braydon Thomas Lennox, and Brixton Wade Lennox. They loved their Uncle Jared and he loved them with his whole heart. Jared is also survived by some special friends; Kyle Milton, Manny Falcon, Trey Bezet, Blake Hebert, and Dakota Howerton. He was so blessed with a long loving list of friends and family. He will be missed beyond measure by all of us … a piece of our hearts has gone on ahead of us. But our Jared is whole and healed again. He is no longer suffering. We will miss him … his funny antics, his ability to make everyone laugh, and his beautiful blue eyes. But he will live on in our hearts forever until we see him again. His love for racing of any kind was something he shared with his Uncle Dickie. The stories they shared of their many trips together were some great memories for Jared.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Wednesday, July 14, from 10a.m. until service at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Aaron Severio, Brennon Severio, Cody Laborde, Tanner Laborde, Manny Falcon and Dakota Howerton. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Lennox, Jordan Lennox, Braydon Lennox, Colin Severio, Kyle Milton, Trey Bezet and Paul Allen. The family would like to thank the staff of Ochsner Medical Center ICU and The Carpenter House.

My dear friends….I will never be so presumptuous as to think I can know how you are feeling for each of us must experience these things individually. I believe each person has his own personal aches and pains of losing those we love and consider flesh of our flesh! So let me offer you a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on and a promise to pray for your strength and courage to face each day ahead until that promised day when you will be reunited with those we love and miss! Cindy. We are a part of an amazing sisterhood with other mothers who are held together by God’s love and mercy and strength! No, life can never be the same but with God’s love and our kindred hearts we will make it! Xoxoxox

Cindy, Steve, Jacob and Jordan. My love to you all. My heart breaks for you. When I remember Jared I think of the young boy that jumped from the top of the swing set making me anxious for his safety! Him calling my daughter sweet lips and most of all those mischievous sparkling eyes. He was a sweet boy and man always with a witty and endearing personality. I will miss him as I know you all will. May the peace of the lord be with you all and your family in this time of loss. I love you all.

This absolutely breaks my heart. I taught Jared in 4th grade, and he was one of my favorite students. He always had that twinkle in his eye and a grin on his face because he was ready with a funny comment or a comeback at all times. I loved the way he joked around with the teachers. Jared truly had the sweetest, funniest personality that endeared him to his teachers. I ran into him about a year ago in Walgreens and knew it had to be one of my first students when he called out to me by my maiden name. Cindy, Jared was a special child. I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for you and the rest of his family and friends.

Jared, my thoughts and prayers are with you, Mrs. Cindy, Jacob, and the rest of the Lennox family. I have very fond memories playing baseball with Jacob, and watching you and Jordon running around on the backside of the dugout when we were children. I can remember all the parents talking about the next generation of Lennox athletes, and all the wonderful memories my family and I cherish about growing up in southern Louisiana. Indeed, you have fought the good fight… you have finished this race. “Well done! Be thou at peace.”
