January 12, 1950 ~ July 11, 2021
Claudette Cecile (Parent) Orr, 71, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, went to be
with her Lord and Savoir on July 11, 2021, at home with her husband by her side. She was born on January 12, 1950 in Gonzales, Louisiana to Clyde Jean Parent and Nettie Marie (Bourgeois) Parent.
Claudette was feisty and had an amazing gift of gab. She never met a stranger and never missed an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus. She loved her family whole heartedly and was an amazing, wife, mom and nana. She was beautiful inside and out, fun-loving, compassionate and kind. She was a devoted member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and loved her church family very deeply.
Claudette is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jerry Dewaine Orr; daughter, Melisa Hayes and husband, Russell; grandchildren; Alexander (Alex) Hayes, DuBose (Duby) Vann V, Jacob Hayes and Jaden Marie Vann. Claudette was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Nettie Parent; sisters, Marlene Qualls, Theresa Borne, Evelyn Sims; brothers, Charles Parent and Gerald Parent.
Celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Don Avenue Baptist Church, 1010 Don Avenue, Denham Springs, LA 70726. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until religious service at 11:00 AM. The family requests that attendees wear a little something purple as a tribute to Claudette.
Thank you to Seale Funeral Home and Gill Marble for their professional services during this difficult time. Interment will be at a later date at Evergreen Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
