Dutile Joseph “D.J.” Guidroz passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the age of 70. He was a native of Arnaudville and a resident of Walker. He was retired from Lion Copolymer Chemical Plant. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Conducted by Father Mathew Graham. Entombment will be at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery in Baton Rouge. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Peggy Courville Guidroz; Daughter, Heather Pitarro and husband Scott; son, Mike Guidroz; grandchildren, Ava Belle Pitarro and Rhett Joseph Pitarro; sister, Wanda Martin and husband Howard; brothers, Leonard Guidroz and wife Wanda, David Guidroz and wife Lisa and Patrick Guidroz; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Verna Taylor Guidroz; brothers, Gerald, Daniel and Terry Guidroz; nephew, Daniel Guidroz, Jr.. Pallbearers will be Scott Pitarro, Scott Babineaux, Leonard Guidroz, John Babineaux, Braddy Guidroz and Buddy deGeneres. Honorary pallbearers will be David Guidroz, Pat Pitarro and Mike Guidroz. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs. He loved attending LSU sporting events, hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren, relaxing by a fire, watching his grandchildren compete in baseball and cross country, and spending quality time with his wife and family, especially over a good meal, and of course, desserts.
