Lois was born January 9, 1946, the oldest of 9 children in Tylertown MS to the late Jessie Knight and Mary Thomas Knight. She was raised in Washington Parish and later in Baton Rouge LA where she reared her family. Lois most recently resided with her Daughter in Denham Springs, LA.
She retired from East Baton Rouge Parish School Systems after 25 years as a Bus Driver. Lois loved her family, treasured her time spent with her siblings, but cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They say, “home is where the heart is” and Lois was a true testament to that statement. Everyone could feel the love that her heart would exude regardless of her surroundings.
Lois enjoyed the outdoors. She had a superb green thumb that was exhibited by the many variations of plants that were cultivated through her attention, nurturing, and dedication. In her spare time, she would pick up the brush and create special paintings for her family that will be cherished in the days ahead.
