Sean David Ritchie, passed away at his home in Ventress, LA, onAugust 31, 2021 at 48 years of age.  He was born on January 4, 1973, in Baton Rouge, LA, and grew up in St. Francisville, LA.

Sean was a graduate of West Feliciana Parish High School where he played tennis and football and sang in the choir.  He had many friends, both in high school and beyond who shared in his love of college and professional football, beach volleyball, hunting, fishing anywhere but especially in Grand Isle, LA, and everything outdoors.  Sean was known as someone who loved to talk, on the phone and in person, about his experiences and things he was passionate about.

Throughout his career, Sean worked at Goulette Ice Co. and Crown Vantage paper mill in St. Francisville.  He also worked for Turner Industries and as a residential carpenter.

Sean is survived by his former spouse, Tonia Faust, and their children, Maggie and Buck Ritchie; former fiancée, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Orr; parents, James “Jimmy” Ritchie, Jr. and Rebecca “Becky” Purpera Ritchie; siblings, Rhonda Ritchie Repetowski and husband, Mike, and Vesuvi Timeaux and partner, Bobby Hawkins; niece, Alicia Goulette Brumfield and husband, Joshua; nephew, Stephen Goulette and wife, Andi; great nieces, Kennedi Fletcher, Karli Goulette, Kolbi Goulette, Amelia Brumfield, and Scarlett Brumfield; great nephew, Jace Fletcher; and many family members and friends who loved and cared for him.  He loved deeply and freely, touching many lives in a positive way.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bar D Outdoors,www.bardoutdoors.com, a non-profit in West Feliciana Parish.

    Take your rest my friend and classmate,c/o 91′. We had a plenty of laughs throughout our time knowing each other, the memories will live on. Until we meet again rest easy 🙏😢

    My younger brother… gone way too soon. I hope his brief presence and lingering absence will inspire us all to be better than we were had Sean not been a fleeting element of our lives.
