He is proceeded in death by with Grandfather Edward Donaghey; Father Gerard Pichon Sr; 2 Father-in-laws Grady Ridgedell, and Darrell Nash. Gerald was a Superintendent/Crane Operator with Mammoet, in St. Gabriel. Gerald has been a heavy machine operator since he was 17. Clyde Ewing gave him a chance at only 17 years old and he never looked back. Clyde was the father Gerald never truly had. Gerald was a devoted father, husband, son, and friend. He never hesitated to help someone out with just about anything. He never met a stranger; he was kind to everyone. Him and his wife Tamara built a beautiful life together full of fun, adventure, love, and they were the best of friends. They took spontaneous trips at the drop of the hat, and it was nothing for them to head out on a “road trip” to   Tennessee just to get BBQ for dinner. Always looking for neat rocks to outdo each other’s finds along their travels. They successfully raised 4 children that have grown into wonderful adults. He was always there to lend a helping hand, give advice to see that they stayed on the best path possible. He made sure that his children and granddaughters had every opportunity they needed or wanted to achieve that was available to them from everyday needs to the big things. He will be deeply missed by so many. The family wants to extend their gratitude to their Mammoet family, who have been here through every step of this. Truly showing the meaning of extending work FAMILY. Our Husser neighbors, who have welcomed us as family since day one, making sure Tamara was checked in on and attended to any needs she may have/need. We are forever grateful for all your presence, love, and support through this time. To honor Gerald’s wishes a funeral will not be held. The family will be having a celebration of life at later date to honor the life of Gerald the way he would have intended.
