Services for Matt Shumate will be as follows:
Visitation on Sunday, October 3rd 5p – 9p at Seale Funeral Home 1720 S Range Ave Denham Springs, LA.
Monday, October 4th visitation 10a – 12p funeral service immediately following at Sandy Creek Baptist Church 22834 Liberty Rd Zachary, LA.
The burial will be at Sandy Creek Cemetery following the service.

Tessie and family, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know Matt will be truly missed by all who knew him. I have heard so many good things about him and what a great husband and father he was. Keeping you and your family in my prayers. GOD bless!

I worked with Matt at EBRSO for several years at the jail on B shift. My prayers go out to Tessie and the family right now. My heart hurts but I know he’s in a much better place. Godspeed Matt.
