Sydney Kreisler Gelbwaks Harper, 85, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her home in French Settlement, LA, with her husband at her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Gene Harper; daughter, Anh Hansen (Jon); sons, Jeremy Gelbwaks (Pat), Dan Silvertree (Lindsay McCann), and Matt Gelbwaks (Julie Whitcomb); grandchildren, Stephanie Hansen, Samantha Mohar (Matt), Megan Hansen, Josh Ellison, and Maggie Gelbwaks (Steve Loge); brothers, Larry Kreisler (Kathy), Paul Kreisler (Barbara), and Seth Kreisler (Sandy); stepson, Paul Harper (Melody); stepdaughter, Anna Harper; stepgrandchildren, Katie, Luke and John-Paul Harper; brother-in-law, Aaron Gelbwaks (Harriet); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norm Gelbwaks. The family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date. Please share your condolences at .
