Ruth Doyle Schlette, 79, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home in Denham Springs, LA. She loved to fish with her husband and travel in their motor home. Ruth was a very generous person as well as being fair to all. She was fascinated by elephants and loved her collection. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, Saturday, October 16, from 12 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. She is survived by her children, Joanne Schlette Danna (Michael), Michael Schlette (Michelle), and Teresa Fuqua Liuzza (Jason); grandchildren, Matthew Michael Danna (Hannah), Katie Danna Byone (Sean), Joshua Peter Danna (Maggie), Sarah Ann Schlette, Ashley Schlette Matherne (Mason), Landon Michael Schlette, Keeno Fuqua Jr. (Ashley), Jessica Fuqua Mason (Scott), Peter Blane Schlette, III, Grace Elle Schlette; great-grandchildren, Jakob Bruce Danna, Michael Ray Danna, Emmitt Hayes Danna, Kaley Ann Fuqua, Madilyn Jade Fuqua, and Briley Rose Fuqua; siblings, Sheila Anne Buchholtz (Fred), Barry Vincent Doyle (Kelly), Mary Jane Farris (Billy), Kathleen Van Balen (Todd), and Debra Harty; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Peter B. Schlette, Sr., son, Peter B. Schlette, Jr., granddaughter, Emma Schlette; son-in-law, Keeno Fuqua, Sr.; great-granddaughter, Kenley Renee Fuqua; parents, Lewis and Marion Doyle; brother, David Joseph Doyle; brother-in-law, Thomas F. Harty, Jr.; and nephew, Clint Walter Buchholtz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Quad Area Winnie Sibley Homeless Veteran’s Association at quadvets.org. My Dear Sweet Auntie Ruthie! May you Rest In Peace. Family, she is at peace now with Uncle Pete, Peter B., Grandmother & Granddaddy. We need to all come together and bring peace within our family. Love one another it’s what she would want! Praying for everyone’s heartache. Love you all- Marion
