Claude Nelson Sibley, Sr., a resident of Walker, passed away on October 13, 2021, at the age of 89. Born in Walker, Louisiana, he was the son of Charles Isom Sibley and Cora Frances Sibley. Claude graduated from Walker High School and was employed at BASF Chemical Plant where he retired. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and could be seen riding his lawnmower almost daily. He was thankful and felt blessed for all of his family and friends; he had many stories to share over the years with all. He is survived by his children, Nelson Sibley and wife Julie, Terry Sibley and wife Michelle, Sherrie Carlson-Smith and husband John; son-in-law, Ronnie Juban Sr.; eleven grandchildren, Kristen Sibley, Travis Sibley, Reagan Wallace, Rachel Wallace, Ronnie Juban Jr., Kyle Juban and wife Amanda, Patrick Juban and wife Leslie, Kayla Sibley Cassard and husband Trevor, Karmyn Sibley Harris and husband Brody, Caleb Carlson, and Aubrey Smith; eight great-grandchildren, Easton Juban, Jett Juban, Grant Juban, Luke Juban, Brooklyn Juban, Rowen Juban, Bentley Harris, and Camille Cassard. Visitation will be held at Mangum Chapel United Methodist Church, 16625 LA-1024 Walker, LA 70785, on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 9am until Celebration of Life Service at 11am, conducted by Rev. Charles Ray Smith. Burial will follow in Sibley Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracie Sibley Juban; his wife, Frances Sibley; his parents and eleven siblings; and one granddaughter, Tasha Lea Juban.
