Lula Ann Aydell Brown

March 9, 1938 ~ November 16, 2021

Lula Aydell Brown, 83 years old, went to her heavenly home on the morning of Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at her home in French Settlement. A golden heart stopped beating, a precious soul at rest. God broke our hearts to show us that He only takes the best. Lula was a beloved Wife, Nanny, Mother, MawMaw, Granny and dear friend to many. Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement, on Saturday, November 20, from 9 am until Catholic Mass at 11 am with Father Jason Palermo, celebrant, and Deacon Jimmy Little.  Survived by her son Tommy and wife Candy of St. Amant, daughter Tracy and husband Dickie Schaubhut; grandchildren Nicole Brown, Matthew Schaubhut and wife Heather, Bryan Schaubhut and fiancè Kristi Achord; great-grandchildren Cole, Brody and Landry Schaubhut, many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her husband, Evan “CoCo” Brown, parents Amulice and Marie Aydell, six sisters, Anna, Beulah, Doris, Elda, Eunice, Mildred; and three brothers, Henry, Johnny and Ray.  Pallbearers will be Matthew and Bryan Schaubhut, Bobby Harris, Danny Aydell, Robert Matherne and Russ Granier.  Honorary Dwight Granier, Gilbert Matherne and Kenny Delatte. Lula served on the Eucharistic Ministers, Rosary Group, Youth Group Adult Committee, Social Responsibility of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Lula was also well known for her famous coconut cake.
