Archie passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Walker at the age of 80. He was retired from the city of Baton Rouge. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM until religious services at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Amite Baptist Church Cemetery in Denham Springs. He is survived by his children, Melissa Pourciau (Wallace), James E. Bennett (Selena) and Brandi Lynn Bennett Carmena (William); sister, Carolyn Faye Comeaux; brother, Raymond Lionell Bennett; grandchildren, Loni Renee Bennett, Ronald Dean Brewer, Jesse Randolph Pourciau, Benjamin Randolph Pourciau, Lillian Grace Carmena and William Bennett Carmena; great-grandchildren, Morgan Elise Tidwell, Julianna Marie Harrison, Isabella Jaylen Fulcher, Abigail Bree Brewer, Forrest Vane Brewer, Kadance Penelope Pourciau and Faith Ann Pourciau; mother’s of his children, Dorothy L. Dupuy and Leslie Bennett; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Elwood Bennett, Sr. and Stella White Bennett. Pallbearers will be Wallace Pourciau, William Carmena, Ronald Dean Brewer, John Charles Comeaux, Jesse Pourciau and Benjamin R. Pourciau. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Comeaux and William Bennett Carmena. He was a member of Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Please sign our online registry book.

I’m so greatful that the Lord gave me to the best father in the world. Archie Bennett prepared me for every thing that I’ve ever faced , even this day .I’m truly blessed for all of those long talks and drives. Daddy leave the porch light on for me ,I love ya.
