Joseph Milton Armenio

Joseph Armenio was born October 25, 1952 in Shreveport, LA, and passed away January 6, 2022 at age 69 in Baton Rouge, LA.
Joe served in the U.S. Army from 1970-1976. Shortly after his military career, he joined the Livingston Parish Fire Protection District No. 4 in Walker, LA as a volunteer firefighter in September 1980 and retired June 1, 2015 at the rank of Deputy Chief after serving 35 years. Prior to serving as Deputy Chief of LPFD4, he was a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic.
A giant to many at 6’5”, Joe lived a full life as a father to five and loved to build and fly radio-controlled airplanes, building auto engines for classic cars and trucks and had a lifetime fascination with trains. He was a master at grilling, liked to fish, hunt and listen to music.
Joseph Armenio is survived by his five children; daughters Tami (Shawn) O’Hara of Williamsport, TN; Sarah (Jimmy) Contreras of Spring Hill, TN; Tracey (Bill) Ball of Richmond, KY; Amanda Armenio of Prairieville, LA; and son Joshua (Sarah) Armenio of Denham Springs, LA; his grandchildren, Tyler Parham, Zachary Parham, Paige O’Hara, Hunter O’Hara, Cole O’Hara, Jackson Taylor, Marleigh Kindred, Joseph Wilkinson, Gabriel Wilkinson, and Madeline Armenio.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Edna Louise White Armenio of Bastrop, LA and Father Joseph Armenio.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
