Jimmie Ray Lear

December 14, 1953 – January 9, 2022

A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to his eternal home on Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was 68 years old. Jimmie was a Scout Master for multiple years with 9 Eagle Scouts under his direction. Retired in 2015 after 43 years in the welding supply business. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his spouse, Linda Dunaway Lear (high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years) and his 4 children Shawn Lear his wife Stacy, Adair Short her husband Doug, Brandon Lear and his Fiancé Cory Archer, and Traci King and her husband David. Two brothers Glavin Lear and his wife Dotty and Larry Lear and his wife Evelyn. Nine grandchildren Kade and Austin Lear, Sariah and Douglas Short, Genevieve and Madison Lear, and Michael, Benjamin and Lawson King. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, in Denham Springs on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10am until Celebration of Life Service at 12pm. Burial will follow in Fickland Cemetery. He was preceded in death by parents Eiland Ray Lear and Gaynell Elizabeth and his sister-in-law, Helen Lear. Condolences may be offered at
