Beverly Latour Mason

January 22, 1931 ~ February 5, 2022

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, Beverly Latour Mason, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on February 5, 2022 at the age of 91.
Beverly is survived by her five children: Bob Mason, Cynthia Griffin, Steven Mason, Carolyn Mason, and Janet Chambers. Grandchildren: Sarah Babin (Jared), Adam Mason, Rebecca Townson, Sheri Griffin (Blake), Clint Griffin (Ashley), Katie Player (Alex), Marie Barcelona, Amanda Ellis. Great grandchildren: Carter, Conner and Carson Babin, Skyler and Cameron Townson, Griffin and Elle Caraccioli, Baylie and Wilson Griffin.
She is also survived by three sisters:  Norma Calaway of Ville Platte, Leona Mayeux (Jerry) of Jennings, Madeline Wesselman (George) of Independence, Kentucky; and one brother David Latour of Moreauville.
She was preceded in death by her spouse Robert Mason, her parents Leona Bourg and Gerald Latour of Ville Platte; three sisters: Genevieve “Jenny” Howerton and Geraldine “Pee Wee” Fontenot of Ville Platte, Audrey Biessenberger of Eunice and one brother Arthur “Lou” Latour of Eunice.
Beverly was a devote parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Her faith was unwavering and her bravery unmatched. She gave graciously to everyone and loved her family beyond all measures.
Beverly retired from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in 1996 after 28 years of service. She served as a key member in the Human Resources department. Lifelong friendships were made during those years and she cherished everyone of them.  
The family would like to thank Hospice of Baton Rouge for their kind and compassionate care during this difficult time.
Please join our family for a celebration of life at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Friday, February 11, 2022, located at 445 Marquette Avenue, Baton Rouge. Visitation will start at 9:00 AM. Mass will begin at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Beverly Mason’s honor to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
