February 28, 1929 – August 14, 2021
Joyce Seguin, born Gloria Joyce Payne, went home to be with her beloved heavenly Father on August 14, 2021 after a brief battle with the Corona virus. She was 92. Psalm 118:13-14 13. I was pushed back and about to fall, but the Lord helped me. 14 The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
She leaves behind 2 of her treasured children, Second born Shayne Michael Smith (Angie) and Fourth born, Tamianne Joy Seguin (Jody Sims). Her dear sister and nieces: Marilyn Ashford, Terry Ashford, Debra Dixon; and her beloved grandchildren: Jacob Dale, Bronwyn Smith Young, and Shylo Smith; as well as a myriad of great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews and step children. Psalm 89:15 Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your Prescence, Lord.
She was preceded in death by 2 of her children Candace Jean Smith and Jay Smith; and husbands: Webster Delry Seguin and James “Jim” H. Smith Both parents: Michael Archie Payne and Marion Elodie Hutchins. Psalm 143:8 Let me hear Your loving kindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.
She was loved and cherished and her light will be missed by many. Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A private celebration of life will be held Friday, Feb. 18, 2022 at 2 PM In Watson, Louisiana.
