Betty Jane Landry
March 15, 1943 – April 2, 2022
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3: 5-6. A resident of East Baton Rouge Parish passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the age of 79. Betty was retired from her position as the Director of the Office of Mineral Resources for the state of Louisiana and was an avid gardener with a green thumb to be rivaled by all. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Landry (Amanda), brothers, Nelton (Gerry) Vosburg and Billy, Sisters, Marlene Pourciau and Glenda Ginn, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Lisa Watson and Robin Landry, parents, Edgar J. Vosburg and Louisette Mix Vosburg and siblings, Shirley, Donald, Stephen, Hilda and Riley Vosburg. Betty was welcoming to all and loved to cook and bake. She dedicated her life to her family as an extremely caring, loving, supportive, and humorous sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be missed tremendously by all whose lives she touched. Celebration of Life services and interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park in Denham Springs on Friday April 8, 2022 at 10AM. The family will accept visitors at Betty Jane’s home immediately following. Condolences may be offered at
