Freda McMullen McDonald

April 15, 1933 ~ April 4, 2022

Freda McMullen McDonald was born in Rosepine, LA on April 15th, 1933 and passed from this life into heaven on April 4th, 2022, following a lengthy illness.

Freda, affectionately known as ‘Farkle’ by her family, is survived by her four children: Terry Hall, Donna Dees (John), Jerry (Julie) and Traci (Steve); nine grandchildren: Melissa McLeod (Casey), Jennifer Veillon (Justin), Michael Dees, Matthew Dees, Kimberly Judice (Tyler), Leslie Juneau (Cody), Kylie McDonald, Logan Roberts (Gabrielle), Landon Roberts,13 great grandchildren, a sister, Elaine Benoit and numerous nieces and nephews.

Freda spent the majority of her life living in Baton Rouge, until moving to Denham Springs.  She was known by family and friends for her humor, her kindness and her love of animals.

The family would like to thank Clarity and The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for their incredible care, patience and kindness over the past two years, especially Dr. Kevin Dean, Cassandra Williams and Gwen Legard.

Though her presence will be greatly missed by all, we know she is finally whole and celebrating with those that have gone before her.

Preceded in death by her parents, James McMullen and Irene Glasgow Vanchiere, a brother, B.H. “Bud” McMullen, a niece, Kim Benoit and a great granddaughter, Patricia Elizabeth Dees.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
