Inez “Mame” James Walter

March 26, 1939 – April 15, 2022

Inez “Mame” James Walter, 83, a Baton Rouge resident and Houma native passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022. She is survived by her siblings, Ben Robertson, Gloria Miller, Louise Perkins, Lillian James, and Shirley Watson; children, Gail Williams, Joseph James Jr., Bernadette Dunklin, Debra James, and Courtney James, nine grandchildren and two great grand children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Laniel James and Lilly T. Robertson; brother, Laniel James III, and sister, Lillie Mae Madison. It was her wishes that no services be held and that she be enjoyed and celebrated while living.
