Penny Hidalgo Wray
We regretfully announce the passing of Penny Lane Hidalgo Wray of Greenwell Springs on April 24, 2022. Penny was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. Penny, was one of the strongest, clever and outgoing women to walk the earth. She was born to Raymond (R.J) Hidalgo and Joella Hidalgo on March 26th 1963. She grew up with three sisters and one brother in Baton Rouge. La. Penny was a nationally ranked baton twirler winning multiple title’s including Miss Majorette of Louisiana and several baton related and independent beauty pageants in Louisiana and other surrounding states. Penny graduated from Belaire high school in Baton Rouge, LA . She eventually moved to Georgia with her family where she married and had 2 children Brittney and Brooke. Her all time passion and talent was cooking followed by LSU foot ball and Mardi gras parades. If there was a LSU game you could bet she was in the kitchen prior too cooking and preparing for a huge get together of friends and family to come over and watch the game. She was all about having a good time and living your life. Penny was a loving and special mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Penny was predeceased by husband Robert(Bobby) Major . She is survived by Her father Raymond (R.j.) Hidalgo and mother Joella Hidalgo, her 2 daughter Brittney Wray Temple; spouse Christopher Temple and Brooke Wray spouse Michael Flynn and four grandchidren Addilyn Temple, Jackson Temple Skyler Flynn and Jensen Flynn. Siblings, Pam Griffon; Kevin , Patti Fontenot; Eric , Patrick Hidalgo and Paige Perry ; Robert and eight neices and nephews. Services will be held on Saturday April 30th from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a 12:00 PM memorial service at Seale Funeral Home in Denham springs by Brother Wayne Austin.
