Charles Wright

March 18, 1964 ~ April 8, 2022

Larger than Life and Loyal friend to everyone he met, Charles Wright reunited in eternal rest with his Father Robert Harrison Wright Sr, Mother Margaret Morris Wright, Sister Cynthia Kay Wright and Uncle Paul William Wright on April 8, 2022 at the age of 58.

Charlie was a proud member in good standing with his Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 391.  Charlie worked on over 70 Movie and TV productions in his career that spanned over 30 years.

Charlie’s larger than life personality made him an expert in having fun!!! In fact he coined the phrase “Fun is the Best thing to have”!  He taught us all how to have a good time.

Charlie was born and raised in Charlotte, NC.  He grew up in a neighborhood named Hickory Grove aka The Grove, where he earned his childhood nickname “Cheez” from his childhood friends.  These friends were the very people who helped shape Charlie’s life early on, back in the woods of the Grove at the popular hangout, The Fort. Listening to his favorite rock and roll bands. The memories of these special times will live on in all of The Grover’s.

Later in life Charlie and family moved to the NC coast of Sunset Beach which was one of Charlie’s favorite places.  Boating, golfing, surrounded by family playing games at the Annual Family Olympics were some of Charlie’s greatest times. His infectious laughter proved it.

Charlie is survived by his son Matthew Wright (Jess), grandson Landon Wright, Fiance Alisha Barnum, Brother Robert Wright Jr (Terri), Sister Pam Grady (Jerry), Sister Susan Derby, Nieces and Nephews Jared, Christopher, Trey, Ryan, Courtney, Lindsay, Sarah, Kayden and Maggie, and Former Wife of 28 years Kellye Wright
