Gary Lee Myers passed away on May 7, 2022 at the Carpenter House of Baton Rouge surrounded by his wife Gloria, son Dwayne and siblings Craig Myers and Deborah Marley.
Gary was born in Willows, CA on October 17, 1937. He spent wonderful summers in Hammonton, Ca with his aunt Charlotte, Uncle Cliff and cousin Barbara. He graduated from Salinas High School in Salinas, CA in 1955. After graduation he joined the Air Force and while stationed in Houma, LA he met the love of his life Gloria and they were married in 1957.
They returned to California in 1961 where they lived for the next 35 years owning an office equipment business from 1974-1996. They lived in Aromas, CA for the last 19 years of their time in California where they enjoyed horseback riding, gymkhana, gold panning, camping, fishing, bowling and traveling with many friends.
In 1996 Gary and Gloria returned to Gloria’s home state of Louisiana and resided in Watson. Gary spent his time golfing, spending time with his family and friends and cruising, as well as volunteering for 12 years with AARP Tax-Aide as a tax counselor at the Joor Library.
Gary is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria, his son Dwayne, 3 grandchildren- David Myers and wife Fatima, Stephanie Myers and Stacie Myers, 3 great grandsons- Wyatt, Wade and Alberto, 2 siblings- Craig Myers and wife Carol and Deborah Marley. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin Myers, Evelyn Myers and his brother Gale Myers.
There will be a celebration of life at Live Oak Methodist Church on Thursday May 12, 2022, 34890 LA-16, Denham Springs (Watson), starting at 10:00, service at 11:00. He will be interred at a alter date in California.

Gary and Gloria were great friends with my parents, so I knew them well. They were very special and always treated me good. My heart goes out to Gloria. I kept Thinking I want to go see them and now have waited to long to see Gary a regret forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Jerry was a very calm and funny and loving man who adored his family. I was so surprised and shocked when I heard of his passing it absolutely broke my heart. Much love and prayers to his family, Mama Gloria and Dwayne. My heartfelt condolences goes out to you both. My love to you
