Charles B. Erwin, Jr

February 19, 1948 ~ July 14, 2022

No doubt a celebration is taking place in Heaven because on July 14th our sweet loving husband and dad, Charles “Bev” Erwin, joined our other family of Angels. He has looked forward to this reunion for some time, but what he longed for most is now achieved. He is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is pain free He was born February 19, 1948 in Nassawadox, Virginia where he spent his young life traveling being born to a Naval Dad.  He joined the Air Force when he was 20 and served in 21 years traveling America and Europe.  His love of the outdoors was spent during his life whether fishing, boating, skiing or barbecuing. Charles (“Bev” to most) was known for his incredible work ethic and family values.  Words people use to describe him include kind, loving, serving, humble, faithful, loyal, and strong. His gifts were many, but the ability to love unconditionally was the rarest. Charles (“Bev”) lived for his family, always put others before himself, and was able to find good in life no matter how hard it became. He was loved by many and will forever be in their hearts.  Charles (“Bev”) is survived by his wife of 45 years, Charlene and his loving son, Kain and many many many illegally adopted sons and daughters (non-family members). A special thank you to Hospice of Baton Rouge for their compassionate care, to Dr. Barber, Chaplain Todd, Lisa, Shelby, Julie, Shannon and all the staff and residents at Golden Age Nursing Home  for loving and caring for him so well.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Honorary Veteran Service, Saturday, October 15th at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 S. Range Avenue in Denham Springs.  Visitation and chapel service is from 1pm to 3pm.
