Johnnie A. Netterville

Johnnie Alonzo Netterville, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Baton Rouge General at the age of 74. He was the Pastor of the Pentecostals of Watson since September 1996 and was moved to the role of Bishop in October 2020. He was a retired member of the Operating Engineers Local 406. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and James Payton; son, Jesse Ball; brother and sister-in-law, William “Billy” and Dorthy Netterville; grandchildren, Weston and wife Carmen Payton, Trace and fiancé Madison Whittington, Olivia Ball and Katie LaGambo; great-grandchildren, Brantley, Avery, Kye, Braxton, Preston, Tate and Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Eunice Netterville; his parents, Rev. W.M. and Irma Netterville; son, Daniel Joseph Netterville; daughter, Angela Netterville Ball; brother Harvey Eli Netterville; sister, Vicki Netterville Prepotente. Special thanks to nieces Amber Prepotente and Mary Freeman; and first cousins Louise Avants and Mary Netterville. Pallbearers will be Weston Payton, Trace Payton, Austin Prepotente, Michael Summerford, Blayne Summerford, Scott Summerford, Danny Rogers Jr. , Johnny Rogers, and Corey Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Ball, James Payton, Glenn Freeman, and Jvani Prepotente. Visitation will be at First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs, on Friday, July 22, from 5-9 and will resume Saturday, July 23, at 9 am until service at 11am. Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery, Baywood, LA.
