Joyce Kent

January 25, 1948 – July 22, 2022

Joyce Kent a resident of Walker, Louisiana died Thursday, July 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at Ochsner Medical Center.  She was 74 years old. Joyce was born on January 25, 1948, in Denham Springs, LA.  She was a long-time member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church.  She retired in 2014 after over 30 years as a bookkeeper with Watson Auto Parts.  Joyce loved serving Jesus, spending time in her yard and being with her family and friends.  She touched many lives and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerald D. Kent. Her sons Butch (wife Rachel) and Mickey (wife Krista).  Her granddaughter Blair Kent, grandson Logan Kent and great granddaughters Kadence and Savannah; her sisters Deloris Erwin (husband Gene), Bobbie Ballard, Gail Alloto and brother Lyn Turbeville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Elvener Turbeville; her sister Evelyn Stevens and brothers Hilton Turbeville, Willard Peacock and Raymond Peacock; her father and mother-in-law Milton and Lucille Kent. Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2022, at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM conducted by Bro George Threeton and Bro David Smith. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park located behind Seale Funeral Home.
