2022ObituariesMickey Deville

August 21, 2022by SealeUser3

Mickey Deville, age 76, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Mickey was blessed with a loving family and many friends. He was wise, gentle, loving, a giver and a fixer of all things. He was a man who put others before himself, whose actions spoke louder than words, and whose words always supported his actions. He was cherished by all who had the privilege to know him and served as an example to all of what a husband, father, and Pop should be.

He was proud of his service to our country as a Navy Veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of two bronze stars for his service. He was enjoying retirement from his role as a supervisor after 32 years of service with AT&T.

Mickey is survived by his best friend and wife of 54 years, Lyn Deville, his children David Deville Jr. (Laura), Stephanie Deville Wilson (Lance), grandchildren Victoria Wilson, Matthew Wilson, brothers, Denny Deville (Jenny), Chris Deville (Cindy), sister Margaret Deville-Smith (David). He was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Deville and brother Jimmy Deville. Pallbearers are David Deville, Chris Deville, Lance Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Anthony Blount, and Clay Blount.

Arrangements are as follows: Wednesday August 24, 2022 Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 South Range Avenue, Denham Springs 9:00-10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge 11:00 AM Officiated by the Reverend David Allen Burial in Morrow, LA under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home.

Don’t put off going to see old friends. I did and now I’ll never get to tell him how much he was loved. And will be missed.
