Roger Wade Bennett

Roger Wade Bennett, age 70 of Walker, Louisiana went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 18, 2022, after a battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Joe Wade Bennett and Mae Dell Meades Bennett; born Sept. 14, 1951. Spending time with family and friends, boiling crawfish, singing country music/karaoke, fishing, watching western movies, and seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren brought much happiness to Roger’s life. Roger was survived by his son Robert Bennett and his wife Denise; his daughter Holley Dee Davis and her husband Christopher; his son Wesley Bennett; and his daughter Alison Bennett; siblings Betty Sibley, Dennis Bennett, and, Faye Newland; as well 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Roger was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 23 years Jo Ellen Bennett, his brother Jerry Don Bennett, his father-in-law Robert M. Forrest, his nephew Carter Williams, his brother-in-law Linwood Williams, his brother-in-law Mark Carr, his brother-in-law Curtis Sibley. Roger was a man of few words with a large heart who cared deeply for his family and friends, he will be greatly missed by those that he held dear. No services will be held.
