Mark Lane Davis

May 7, 1967 ~ August 24,. 2022

Mark Lane Davis, a beloved son, brother and friend, passed away quietly to his eternal home with the Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA on May 7, 1967. He finished his high school education at Central High School in Central, LA and then moved to Houston to attend school for Auto Mechanics. Upon graduation, Mark worked at various mechanic shops, before settling at Ragusa Automotive in Baton Rouge, LA, where he worked for 33 years. He is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Davis, his brothers, Donald Davis (Rhoda) and Michael Davis (Deborah). He had three nieces and one nephew, Nicole Magill (Phillip), Morgan Dinecola (Rip), Regan Sanders (Cody) and Carson Davis.  He, also, had eight great nieces and nephews, Reese, Molly and Camden Magill and Ava, Adelyn, Millie, Grainger and Hudson Dinecola. Mark was preceded in death by his dad, Louis M. Davis, of Greenwell Springs, LA, whom he dearly loved.  On the weekends, Mark would use his mechanic skills to help friends with their racing endeavors. In contrast to the motor sports world, he loved the solitude of the piney hills of rural Mississippi, where he would spend time with family. Though many knew Mark as a gifted mechanic, he was a man that was kind, dependable, thoughtful, honest, hardworking and loving. The degree to which these characteristics were displayed in his life revealed a man that is rare to find in today’s society. Mark will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA. Visitation will be from Noon-2pm with service following at 2pm. Burial will follow at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church. We would like to thank all the friends and family that loved Mark and were a part of his life.
